The Outside Space is the main event here! The Folly’s unique position offers panoramic views over the grassy valleys and woodlands, right to the sea. The Hot Tub is perfectly positioned to unwind and watch the sun set over the Atlantic, or gather round the stylish concrete firebowl on chilly nights to tell stories and toast marshmallows. On clear nights the garden is fantastic for stargazing.
There is parking for up to 3 cars within the gated garden, plus an EV charger point (free of charge). The 1/3 acre plot is beautifully planted in a cottage garden style, with rambling roses, flowering shrubs and lawned areas.
There are several seating areas- a large wooden picnic table and benches, a lovely bistro set (perfect for your morning cuppa) and a sofa and chairs in the summerhouse. There are also 4 ‘big bertha’ outdoor beanbags for sunbathing or reading. We also supply a Weber Charcoal BBQ- local charcoal and our fantastic grass-fed beef can be purchased from our little farm shop at the main farmyard!
The location makes this property truly unique and is the perfect place to escape from the rest of the world. There is an abundance of wildlife including deer, foxes and birds of prey seen regularly in the surrounding fields. It’s a proper ‘escape to the country’ (but we still have a great internet connection). Although this property is tucked away on the farm, it’s only a short drive to the sandy, dog-friendly beach at Black Rock, Widemouth Bay. There are a number of pubs within a 10 minute drive and it’s you can get to the coastal towns of Bude, Boscastle, Port Isaac and Crackington Haven easily by car. The Southwest Coast Path is only a few miles away and we are close to Bodmin Moor so there’s unlimited walking possibilities – we recommend that guests check out iWalk Cornwall for a fantastic selection of circular walks- we provide an OS map of the local area too.
Unlike the other cottages we have Thursday changeover (Saturday- Saturday in School Summer holidays). We also offer short breaks – Please see the calendar for available arrival days.
Up to 4 well behaved adult dogs are welcome (must not be allowed upstairs in property or left alone in property). We have a field available for your exclusive do-walking use during your stay and there are loads of public footpaths in the surrounding areas for you to explore- you can even walk right to Millook beach through the stunning Millook valley woods if you are a keen walker.
Please note that we completely change the water in the hot tub between every set of guests, so it may not be fully up to temperature on the day of your arrival. One of our staff will attend the property daily to check the water parameters for your safety. Children must be supervised at all times – under 5’s must not be permitted in the hot tub. Please see hot tub safety guidelines for further information.
